Autism Take 5 Facilitators
Monica Plunkett
Hi, my name is Monica, and I am one of the facilitators at Autism Take 5, I am also an active member of the committee, I would like to tell you a little bit about me.
I am a late diagnosed autistic woman with ADHD, I live with my partner Stuart, and I am mum to amazing neurodivergent children. My ‘special’ interest is Autism and it’s my mission to reframe and change the negative narrative surrounding autistic persons to a positive narrative which encompasses our strength, determination, and awesomeness!!!
I home educate my two youngest children who have a PDA profile, this is something I thought I would struggle with, however it’s been so much fun and a massive learning experience for me, and to see the positive difference in my children’s mental health and thirst for learning and knowledge has been unbelievable! I have a lifetime (52yrs) of lived experiences and pride myself in growing my knowledge and practice through self-development and training experiences.
My working background is health and social care where I have 25yrs experience (with lots of supporting qualifications). |
Hayley Moroke
I am a parent of neurodivergent children and I have ten years’ experience working with autistic individuals and their families in different capacities. Outwith Autism Take 5, I host a podcast, provide training about different neurodevelopmental conditions and by day I am a Speech and Language Therapist. |
